Though I'm mostly associated with the Easter holiday, I do have some origins from pre-Christian times. As a rabbit, I'm a symbol of fertility and new life in the Spring. I was first used as an "official" symbol of Easter in Germany during the 16th Century, and German settlers later brought my image and tradition to America, where I began to leave my nests of colored eggs and candy. Though I'm celebrated and represented differently throughout the world, I continue to be a symbol of life, springtime, and Christian faith. Happy Easter!

He's got jelly beans for Tommy

"Try to do the things you should"
Maybe if you're extra good
He'll roll lots of Easter eggs your way

And you'll know that he was there
When you find those choc'late bunnies That he's hiding ev’rywhere, Oh!
